Manulife Asset Management appoints Head of Equities, Singapore

SINGAPORE, 2 January 2018 – Manulife Asset Management today announced the appointment of Chan Hock Fai as Head of Equities, Singapore. Hock Fai’s primary responsibilities are to lead all of the Singapore-based equity strategies and have oversight of the local team of equities investment professionals. The team will continue to work closely with the broader Asian Equities team across the region.

Hock Fai has over 20 years of industry experience and deep knowledge of Singapore’s asset management landscape. Prior to joining Manulife Asset Management, Hock Fai was Director of Investment for Amundi Asset Management in Singapore where he managed Singapore, regional (Asia Pacific ex-Japan) and global multi-asset portfolios. Hock Fai began his career as a software engineer with Singapore Telecommunications Ltd.

Under Manulife Asset Management’s team based approach to managing investment portfolios, the Asia equities team as a whole currently comprises over 80 on-the-ground investment professionals across 10 Asian markets.
